Most people never think about how to leave an app until they want to. A trading app can hold a journal, broker links and AI chat history, so the way it handles deletion is a fair test of how seriously it treats your data. Here is how account deletion works in the TIC app, based on what we checked in the app's code on 26 October 2026.
How do I delete my TIC account?
There are two routes, and both run through the same deletion service.
Open Settings, then Delete account. Apple's App Store Review Guidelines (5.1.1(v)) require any app that supports account creation to offer account deletion inside the app, and this is that path.
Visit the TIC account deletion page and enter your account email. A 6-digit code is emailed to you. It expires after 15 minutes and allows a maximum of five attempts. Google Play requires apps to offer a web link like this so people can request deletion without reinstalling. The page responds the same way whether or not an email has an account, so it cannot be used to find out who is a member.
What happens during the first 30 days?
Deletion takes effect immediately, but it is not yet irreversible.
Every session and login token is revoked, so no phone or browser stays signed in. Queued emails and push notifications are cancelled. If you linked an MT4 or MT5 account, its disconnection from the account-connection provider is queued.
The account is marked as deleted but can still be restored if you contact support within that window, for example after deleting by mistake.
A scheduled purge erases the account. The code then runs a verification sweep that re-checks every listed table and reports a failure if any of your rows survive, so a partial deletion is never recorded as complete.
What is erased, and what is kept?
The purge covers your profile, trading journal entries and their image attachments, league history, predictions, Academy progress, price alerts, community posts, AI chat history, capital plans, two-factor backup codes and any identity documents you uploaded.
The deletion code declares a small number of narrow exceptions, and each one is cut down to the minimum fields it needs:
| Kept record | What it holds | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Do-not-contact entry | Your email address, the reason and a timestamp | So TIC never emails a deleted account again |
| Pending broker-link clean-up | A provider account ID, attempt count and timestamps; no name, email, broker login or password | So a linked MT4/MT5 connection is fully shut down at the provider |
| Records that belong to someone else | The other person's record, with your identifying fields set to empty | For example, a referrer's earned commission |
The deletion page and the privacy policy are the documents that govern retention. If you need detail about a specific record, ask support before you delete.
Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?
No, and this is the most important point in this article. Pro and Elite subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play are billed by Apple or Google, and only they can cancel them. Deleting your TIC account does not stop the charge, and Google states plainly that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription either.
When the app detects an active store subscription, it shows a warning before deletion, but it does not block you. Cancel first, through Apple's subscription settings or Google Play subscriptions, and then delete.
Who is this for?
Anyone leaving TIC, anyone who created a test account, and anyone who wants to know what happens to their data before signing up. Deletion is available on every plan, including Free.
If you keep a detailed trading journal, save what you want before deleting: Pro and Elite members can export their journal to CSV, and nothing can be recovered once the 30-day window ends. For protecting the account while you still use it, see our guide to two-factor authentication in the TIC app. You can download the free TIC app to see these settings for yourself.
